Lizard

Dreamed September 2021 by Miriel
for Chevs

I am in a VW bus in daylight, and I am roughly me, an adult woman in my 30s or 40s. I am in the middle of a raised platform with camping mattress on it. The bus is either like the one I used to travel in as a child in the summertime, or Scott's old bus. There are two men, one on either side of me and I don't know who they are; I just am vaguely aware they are there.

I look to the front right towards the passenger door, and a lizard one and a half feet long, with long elegant "hands", toes and legs comes quickly and gracefully dancing in with confidence and happiness.

He? they? scrambles across the platform and lands upon my left shoulder.

I'm sort of startled, and have a flash of wonder: why is it here, and why it confidently came up to me?
